CERGE-EI Graduate Ranks Third Among Economists in German-Speaking Regions

Pavlo Blavatskyy, Professor of Experimental Economics at the University of Innsbruck and CERGE-EI graduate (PhD 2005) placed third in the German daily Handelsblatt's ranking of top 100 economists under the age of 40 in German speaking regions (Austria, Germany and Switzerland). Pavlo, whose research focuses on theoretical microeconomics, secured the bronze medal after ranking twelfth last year. After obtaining his PhD at CERGE-EI Pavlo taught at the University of Zurich before moving to Innsbruck in 2009. CERGE-EI congratulates him on this accomplishment and is looking forward to hearing more news about his career.
