Prof. Nikolay Galkin (Institute of Automation and Control Processes of FEB RAS, 5 Radio Str., 690041, Vladivostok, Russia)

In presented report short review of nanocomposite structure formation based on embedded nanocrystallites of semiconductor silicides of Fe, Cr, Mg, Mn, Ca in the monocrystalline and poycrystalline silicon in silicon and their electrical and optical properties have been presented. It was shown that b-FeSi2 and CrSi2 NCs with sizes (5-20 nm) have a strained crystal structure with lattice constants on 1.0 – 2.5% smaller than those for the bulk silicides.

Oleg Babchenko (Fyzikální ústav AV ČR, v.v.i., oddělení Optických materiálů)

Přednáška bude věnovaná výsledkům badatelské práce, které zahrnují:

  • Výzkum vlivu různých druhů nukleace na růst tenkých diamantových vrstev pomoci depozice z plynné fáze (CVD) v mikrovlnném výboji. A také, související s předchozím průzkum selektivního růstu diamantových struktur;
  • Růst souvislých a porézních poly- a nano-krystalických diamantových vrstev ve dvou různých depozičních zařízeni.

Abstract: Non-adiabatic molecular dynamics provides an important tool for the study of photochemical reactions, which has potential application in many fields. Non-adiabatic molecular dynamics is rapidly developing field of research and various non-adiabatic methods based on quantum or classical trajectories were developed. One of the most commonly used method is trajectory surface hopping method, which offer an interesting compromise between accuracy and efficiency for the simulation of large-scales molecular systems.

Út, 06/05/2014 - 15:00 - 16:00

Richard Berndt (Institut für Experimentelle und Angewandte Physik, Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Germany)

The electron transport through single molecules and atoms as well as molecule--molecule contacts is investigated with low-temperature scanning probe microscopy. In the experiments, which aim at maximizing the control over the junction properties, the conductance, the acting forces and the emission of photons are probed. The talk will initially address the role of molecular structure and bonding as well as quantum noise properties. In a second part, I will present some recent results on the structure of the ZnO(0001) surface and the spectroscopy of subsurface donors.

Antonio Lucianetti (Fyzikální ústav AV ČR, v. v. i.)

High-energy-class diode-pumped solid-state lasers are being developed worldwide for new scientific and industrial applications, including particle acceleration, intense X-ray generation and inertial confinement fusion. Traditional efforts to scale the output energy of solid-state lasers have led to undesirable beam-quality degradation.
