What's New
CERGE-EI Community for Ukraine
March 7, 2014
The ongoing political upheaval in Ukraine has gripped and concerned the entire CERGE-EI community. We would like to express our deepest sympathies and best wishes for the Ukrainian people at this tumultuous moment in their nation’s history.
To collect funds in support of victims among recent anti-government protesters, CERGE-EI students recently organized a charity bake sale and other fundraising events which raised 38,211 CZK. The money will be used to help injured people and families of the deceased.
Our graduate study programs, PhD in Economics and Masters in Applied Economics, warmly welcome applications from gifted Ukrainian students. Since its founding over two decades ago, CERGE-EI has educated several generations of Ukrainian economists, 84 overall and 25 currently enrolled. Since 2008, CERGE-EI Teaching Fellows have taught 35 courses at six Ukrainian universities.
