Marek Kapička Receives J. E. Purkyně Fellowship

We are pleased to announce that Marek Kapička, an Associate Professor with Tenure at CERGE-EI as of September 2013, has obtained the J.E. Purkyně Fellowship. The Fellowship will help facilitate his transition back to Prague following a distinguished career in the United States.
Marek Kapička received his M.A. in Economics from the Charles University in Prague in 1998 and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2003. Since 2003 he has been an Assistant Professor at the University of California in Santa Barbara. In 2003 he won the Young Economist Award organized by the EEA, Stockholm. He has published in top journals such as Journal of Monetary Economics, Review of Economic Dynamics or American Economic Journal in Macroeconomics.
We look forward to having him at CERGE-EI.
