Academic Achievements of ESC Members

We would like to inform you that Jakub Steiner has been appointed a docent (Associate Professor) at CERGE UK. Since 2012, Jakub Steiner has been an Associate Professor with tenure at CERGE-EI (under US permanent charter), a member of the Executive and Supervisory Committee of CERGE-EI, and  a Senior Researcher at the Economics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.

Prof. Noam Chomsky at the Academy of Sciences

One of the most important scientists of today, Professor Avram Noam Chomsky from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology appeared on Monday, 2 June 2014 at the headquarters of the Academy of Sciences of the CR with a lecture entitled “What Can We Understand?” On this occasion, he received the honorary medal “De scientia et humanitate optime meritis” from the President of the ASCR, Prof. Jiří Drahoš.
