In 2013, the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic presented the following awards.
Awards of the ASCR for outstanding achievements of scientific importance were received by team of authors:
- the team nominated by the Grant Agencyof AS CR consisting of doc. RNDr. Marian Karlický, DrSc. and Mgr. Miroslav Bárta, Ph.D. (Astronomical Institute) for the scientific outcome: „New model of magnetic reconnection in solar flares“, accompanied by the premium of 100 000 CZK;
- the team nominated by the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the ASCR, v. v. i., consisting of Ing. Daniel Horák, CSc., Ing. Michal Babič, Ph.D., Ing. Hana Macková, Ph.D., Ing. Petr Šálek, Ph.D., Ing. Zdeněk Plichta for the scientific outcome: „Functional magnetic polymer nano- and microspheres for minimally invasive“, accompanied by the premium of 180 000 CZK;
- the team nominated by the Institute of Philosophy of the ASCR, v. v. i., consisting of prof. PhDr. František Šmahel, DrSc., dr. h. c., Mgr. Robert Novotný, Ph.D., Mgr. Pavlína Mašková a prof. PhDr. Lenka Bobková, CSc. for the scientific outcome: „Luxembourgs – the Crown of Bohemia in the Centre of Europe“, accompanied by the premium of 130 000 CZK;
Awards of the ASCR for young scientists for outstanding scientific achievements were presented to:
- RNDr. Vítu Latzelovi, Ph.D., born in 1978, from the Institute of Botany of the ASCR, v. v. i., for the outstanding scientific outcome: „Unsuspected evolutionary power of parents“, accompanied by the premium of 30 000 CZK;
- RNDr. Danielu Sojkovi, Ph.D., born in1978, from the Biology Centre of the ASCR, v. v. i., for the outstanding scientific outcome: „Blood digestion in ticks - insight into the multi-enzyme hemoglobinolytic machinery“, accompanied by the premium of 30 000 CZK;
- PhDr. Vojtěchu Kynclovi, Ph.D., born in 1983, from the Institute of History of the ASCR, v. v. i., for the outstanding scientific outcome: “Without remorses. Genocide of the Czechs after the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich“, accompanied by the premium of 30 000 CZK.
