Topic Enzyme-mediated transformations of plant oils
Faculty FBPT VŠCHT
Abstract

The objective of this PhD Thesis will study and to compare methods of enzyme-mediated transformations of plant oils under conventional conditions and in supercritical carbon dioxide with the emphasis on designing and optimizing non-conventional separation techniques for minor components of plant oils, i.e., vitamins and other natural products with nutritive and pharmacological value. The Thesis will be focused on designing and application of modern separation techniques, and application of biotechnological methods (i.e., reactions mediated by isolated enzymes and microorganisms). Application of conventional and special analytical methods will be used for separation and structure elucidation of the products.
