Researchers

Ondřej Schneider received his Master degree in Economics at Cambridge University in 1993, and PhD. in Economics at the CERGE-EI in Prague in 1998. Since 2008, he lives and works in the United States. Besides lecturing at the Economics Department of Georgetown University, Washington, DC. and the Faculty of Social Science of Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic, he works for the Insitute of International Finance, Washington, DC. and contributes to the IDEA Think Tank at CERGE-EI in Prague. Before coming to the United States, he was advising the Czech government (ministries of finance; industry; and social affairs) and worked as a consultant to the OECD and the World Bank.
