Petr Pracna works in the National Information Centre for European Research (NICER) on the position of the national contact person (NCP) in the field of nanotechnologies.
Petr Pracna graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University, Prague in the field of chemical physics. He got his PhD. from the J. Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic where he worked until 2012. His research focused on the investigation of complex molecular dynamics and its manifestations in the molecular vibration-rotation spectra. He is an author of more than 75 scientific papers published in international peer-reviewed journals. He worked in several prominent European spectroscopic laboratories and acquired the temporary position of an invited professor (PAST programme) at Université des Sciences et Technologies in Lille, France in the periods 1995-1998 and 2002-2008.
