1 position for Ph.D. study open in the Janeba group (IOCB) since 9/2014

Research topics for the Thesis:

• novel types of acyclic nucleoside phosphonates with new biological properties
• design and synthesis of novel nucleosides and nucleotides and their applications in medicinal chemistry and/or chemical biology
• construction of novel nucleotide analogues as monomers for the synthesis of modified oligonucleotides and/or nucleic acids

Requirements: M.Sc. degree in organic, bioorganic chemistry, biochemistry or related fields to be finished within 2014, strong interest in organic synthesis and bioorganic chemistry, willingness to learn new techniques and to work in team with numerous international collaborations, good knowledge of English.
