• development of UHV hybrid laser deposition systems for fabrication of self-assembled magnetic nanostructures and fluoride nanostructures for optics
• development of a system for controlling and monitoring of vacuum parameters – purchased by Pfeiffer Vacuum
• development of variable optical filters (development of a deposition system allowing control of the growth of multilayered structures by means of in-situ monitoring of optical properties)
• plasma characterization of pulsed reactive magnetron sputtering of alumina oxide – precise controlling of deposition modes
• determination of the influence of laser irradiation on structural and optical properties of gold and black gold layers – possibility to realize a controlled affecting of nano and micro structure and finally the optical properties

AFM images of the surface of – a) black gold film prepared by thermal evaporation, b) black gold layer after the impact of one laser shot (27 mJ·cm^-2), c) after the impact of 1000 laser shots (3.5 mJ·cm⁻²).
