Š. Jurajda Elected to the Government’s R&D Council

We are pleased to announce that Štěpán Jurajda, tenured professor at CERGE-EI, has been appointed to the Research, Development and Innovation Council of the government of the Czech Republic. The Council is an expert and advisory body of the government in the fields of research, experimental development and innovation.

Recent Graduates Assume Central Bank Positions

CERGE-EI continues to enhance its presence in central banking sectors. Two recent CERGE-EI graduates join a large group of alumni already working at the central banks of Azerbaijan, Canada, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Slovakia, and the U.S.
Cafedu: Coffee and Study by Iva Pejsarová

Iva Pejsarová, a CERGE-EI PhD student, has recently opened a brand new coffeehouse with a study room. She was inspired by the study rooms in library she often visited while studying in England. After her return to Prague she lacked a place where one could study undisturbed but at the same time feel cozy and engaged.
Klára Kalíšková Publishes in Labour Economics

CERGE-EI PhD student and Junior Researcher, Klára Kalíšková, recently had her article entitled "Labor supply consequences of family taxation: Evidence from the Czech Republic" accepted for publication in Labour Economics, one of the top three journals in the field of labor economics.
Rebecca Blank Visits CERGE-EI and Charles University
