The course is intented to acquaint the beginning graduate students (doctorands) with basic principles of presenting results of research work and with other important facts which will be of use for their scientific career preparation. Within the international context, the ASCR recognizes a growing need to devote the fullest attention to the systematic preparation of graduate students for research work.
The ASCR organises one-week courses on the fundamentals in research work several times a year in Prague and Brno. It is intended for 25-30 graduate students (doctorands). The course is not compulsory and is offered at no cost to graduate students. Each participant receives attendance confirmation at the end of the course.

Written consent of the supervisor to the graduate student´s participation in the course is required in the application.
PUBLIC COLLECTION OF IMG AS CR, V. V. I. On August 6th, 2014, the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the AS CR, v. v. i., (IMG) opened a public collection aimed to help 14-year-old Katareeya Epp, who is suffering from a severe form of cancer. Her parents are employed in the IMG (project BIOCEV).
Because Katareeya originates from a “third country”, namely, Australia, according to the Czech legislation she is not entitled to healthcare support from the public healthcare insurance.
