Jakub Steiner appointed a docent by Charles University, Christopher Sims awarded the Karel Engliš Medal.
Jakub Steiner has been appointed a docent (Associate Professor) at CERGE UK. Since 2012, Jakub Steiner has been an Associate Professor with tenure at CERGE-EI (under US permanent charter), a member of the Executive and Supervisory Committee of CERGE-EI, and a Senior Researcher at the Economics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
Prof. Christopher Sims has been awarded the Karel Engliš Medal in Social and Economic Sciences from the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. Prof. Sims currently serves as a Professor of Economics at Princeton University and is a member of the Executive and Supervisory Committee of CERGE-EI. The Karel Engliš Medal for Merit in the Social and Economic Sciences was established by the Academic Council of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic on February 14th, 1995 for outstanding contributions in the social and economic sciences.
Prof. Sims visited CERGE-EI in 2012 and gave a lecture titled "Current Macroeconomics and Reality".
