International Workshop on Relaxor Ferroelectrics

We are proud to host the first regular International Workshop on Relaxor Ferroelectrics in Stirin, Czech Republic, on 12–16 October 2014. The Workshop will will initiate a biannual worldwide discussion forum focused on the physics and applications of relaxor ferroelectrics, their structure, polar nanoregions, nanodomains, dielectric and piezoelectric properties, relation to structural and spin glasses, spectroscopic data etc.

1st HiLASE workshop

The first HiLASE workshop is organized on the occasion of the project launch (www.hilase.cz/en/). Preliminary results obtained by the HiLASE team during the preparatory phase, current status and future prospects of HiLASE will be presented. We also would like to discuss with selected potential strategic partners the technical feasibility of our proposed DPSSL technology development plan, scientific challenges and synergies. ELI-Beamlines Scientific Challenges

The second ELI-Beamlines Scientific Challenges is a part of the 2nd ISAC (International Scientific Advisory Committee) meeting in Prague October 5th and 6th this year. We would like to discuss the next steps of development of ELI-Beamlines, ELI-delivery efforts and the further sharpening and adjustments of the experimental and theoretical programs.

Of course the latest developments in other research and facility programs are of outmost interests to us and the community.

String Field Theory 2011

Frontiers of Quantum and Mesoscopic Thermodynamics

The 7th Ad-Hoc workshop on magnetic structures in Jana2006

Ad hoc workshops are small two days workshops organized by authors of the crystallographic software Jana2006. The topics and dates are selected by participants. The topic of the 7th workshop are magnetic structures.

The purpose of this workshop is detailed explanation of the new option in Jana2006 for refinement of magnetic structures from neutron powder or single crystal data. Jana2006 includes tools for determination of magnetic symmetry from the symmetry of diffraction pattern as well as tools for representative analysis.
