Bilgehan Karabay has been a Researcher at CERGE, Charles University since 2012. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from the University of Virginia (in 2002 and 2006). During the years 2006 and 2009 he was working as an Economist in The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. 2009 - 2014 he was working as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics of the University of Auckland. Since March 2014 he has been Associate Professor at School of Economics, Finance and Marketing, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He has published in the European Economic Review, the Journal of Development Economics, the Journal of International Economics, Economics and Politics and other journals. He is a member of the American Economic Association.
