Field of specialisation:
Marcela Linkova is located in feminist critiques of science, gender sociology of institutions and science studies. Her research concentrates on changes of academic work and of research organisations, research accountability, analysis of science policies from a gender perspective, the formation of scientific careers and gendering of institutions.

Biographic information:
- member of the Editorial Board of Gender - Equal Opportunities - Research, a peer-reviewed journal

- chairwoman of the Steering Committee for Women in Science in the Czech Republic, set up by the MInistry of Education, Youth and Sports
- Council for the Support of the Participation of the Academy of Sciences CR in European R&D Integration
