Information about restrictions of the operation of the study room
Dear Library Users,
Use of the study will be partly or completely restricted at the following times in view of the holding of the Science and Technology Week at the Academy of Sciences Library.

Thursday 30 October
The installation of exhibitions (throughout the day, study operation should be affected only minimally)
Friday 31 October
The event Dream Library
– lighting and other equipment to be moved in the study from around 2.00 p.m.
– chairs to be moved and the number of study places in the central part of the study restricted from 3.00 p.m.
– the Dream Library programme (www.knihovna-snu.cz) begins at 5.00 p.m.
– the event programme ends at around 11.45 p.m., library services will be available as normal up to this time (with restrictions in the central part of the study)
Saturday 1 November
The Dream Library programme will continue on Saturday 1 November from 9.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m., during which time the library will be open.
Library services will be available with restrictions in the central part of the study and in the Oval Study.
Monday 3 November, 3.00–3.30 p.m.
The opening of the exhibition “Balloons and the Art of Aerial Navigation” (unrestricted services, with merely reduced study convenience)
The exhibition is in two languages (CzechEnglish) and will be open free until the end of 2014.
Wednesday 5 November, 2.30–5.00 p.m.
Closure of the Oval Study for the lecture “The First Steps to the Celestial Heights”
Monday 10 November, 2.30–5.00 p.m.
Closure of the Oval Study for the lecture “The Ascents of Henry Tracey Coxwell in the Lands of the Czech Crown – Brno 1850 and Prague 1851”
Tuesday 11 November, 2.30–4.30 p.m.
Closure of the Oval Study for the christening of the book “Humanism from
a Diversity of Viewpoints”
Wednesday 12 November, 2.30–5.00 p.m.
Closure of the Oval Study for the lecture “Up into the Clouds! From the Jubilee Exhibition of 1891 to the Beginning of the War in 1914”
