Alumni Profiles

Maksim Yemelyanau is Deputy Head of the Planning, Accounting and Payments Division of the Public Debt Department at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus. Prior to enrolling in CERGE-EI, Maksim held an MA in International Economics from Belarus State Economic University, an MA in International Management from Université Panthéon Sorbonne (Paris I), and a Master of Advanced Studies (DEA) degree in International Management from Université Jean Moulin in Lyon, France. While working on his PhD dissertation, he worked as Deputy Academic Director and later as a Senior Researcher at the Belarusian Economic Research and Outreach Center in Kyiv, Ukraine. He defended his PhD thesis, titled "Essays on Income and Consumption of the Belarusian Population" in January of 2012.
