Initiating volume of a new editional series "Studien zum slawischen Burgwall in Mikulčice". The volume is the first account on the large-scale excavations from the closed period between 1954-1992. It contains a survey of previous fieldwork in the Great-Moravian stronghold and extensive fortified settlement at Mikulčice (L. Poláček - O. Marek), and specific contributions on the glass objects (Z. Himmelová), bone and horn objects (B. Kavánová), and an analysis of the pre-Great-Moravian materials (Z. Klanica).
 

Ein einleitender Band der Editionsreihe der Studien zum frühmittelalterlichen Burgwall von Mikulčice. Die erste Quellenpublikation, die die Ergebnisse der ganzen bisherigen Etappe der Feldforschung in Mikulčice zusammenfaßt. Sie beinhaltet eine Übersicht von Feldarbeiten 1954-1992 (L. Poláček - O. Marek) und Bearbeitung von Glas- (Z. Himmelová), Knochen- und Geweihgegenstände (B. Kavánová) sowie der vorgroßmährischen Funde (Z. Klanica) aus der abgeschlossenen Forschungsetappe 1954-1992.
