Článek se zabývá tím, jakým způsobem střídavá péče narušuje nebo naopak utvrzuje tradiční genderové ideologie spojené s mateřskou a otcovskou rolí a jak ovlivňuje nerovnosti mezi ex-partnery. Analýza je založena na 13 hloubkových párových rozhovorech s matkami a otci, kteří praktikují střídavou péči.

Based on qualitative research of women that cared in the past or care now for their frail elderly mothers, this article aims to describe and explain some of the factors leading to the predominance of women in informal care for the elderly. The article builds on Sandra Harding’s and Joan W. Scott’s concept of gender. Their concept defines gender as a category operating at multiple interconnected levels.

Článek se věnuje problematice kontextových vlivů na volební chování. V části českéodborné literatury bylo konstatováno, že vliv prostorového kontextu na volební chování v Česku je nevýrazný a že převážnou část teritoriální diferenciace volebních výsledků lze vysvětlit jako důsledek teritoriálních odlišností sociální skladby, tedy kompozičně. Tato studie zkoumá existenci kontextových efektů v detailním územním členění.
Throughout recent decades, a gradual shift away from an early contract-ed and simple life course pattern which dominated in the 1950s and 1960s to late protracted and more complex patterns could be observed within European countries. Yet, despite multiple cross-national similarities in the changes of individual life course patterns, there exist considerable differences in the form and frequency of these changes.
The trend towards harsher punishment of offenders, usually termed the ‘new punitiveness’, is often explained as a response to deepening social and economic uncertainty. One important area that criminal policy research has long dealt with is public attitudes to punishment. Statements that the public want more severe punishments for those who break the law are often used to justify introducing measures to make the criminal justice system harsher.
Demographic change is one of the most important challenges for economically, socially and environmentally sustainable development in many regions of Central Europe. Population losses due to low fertility rates, migration and population ageing have already been experienced in many parts of regions, cities as well as some metropolitan areas. It is crucial to realize that population shrinkage and ageing is and will be important both for urban and rural areas in Central Europe.
Urban-rural research in post-socialist countries has focused on urban transformation, the impact of international migration and the spread of suburbanisation; little attention has been paid to counterurban migration. The aim of this article is to propose a typology of counterurban migration strategies based on quantitative research in rural areas in the Czech Republic.

Článek shrnuje vývoj moderní epistemologie humanitních a sociálních věd a vztahuje jej k sociologii. Má dva cíle: 1) sledovat, jakým způsobem se formování naturalistického a hermeneutického proudu epistemologie promítlo do dělení sociologie na kvantitativní a kvalitativní; 2) ukázat důsledky novější epistemologické diskuze pro toto dělení sociologie.
Článek analyzuje funkci, kterou v díle raného M. Heideggera plní myšlenka destrukce, a zkoumá na tomto základě, jak je obecně možné charakterizovat vztah mezi hermeneutikou a destrukcí, resp. vzhledem k pozdějšímu vývoji filozofie, mezi hermeneutikou a dekonstrukcí. Při analýze pojmu destrukce je položen důraz na to, jak je postup destrukce použit na tradici aristotelské substancialistické ontologie a na Kantovu teorii poznání, což jsou dvě klíčová témata raného Heideggera.

The article deals with explicit cultural policy and its outcomes in the post-communist Czech Republic. In the first part, the authors look at the organisational and conceptual impact on culture of the transition from a centrally managed economy to a pluralist parliamentary democracy following the collapse of the Eastern Bloc.
