Jaroslav Borovička is currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, New York University. He finished his MA at CERGE-EI in 2006 and graduated with a Ph.D. in Financial Economics from the University of Chicago in 2012. Before joining NYU, he worked as an economist in the research department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.His research interests cover macroeconomic and asset pricing theory, with natural overlaps into computational economics, time series econometrics and decision theory. His research articles were published in Journal of Econometrics and Journal of Financial Econometrics.Before entering the program at CERGE-EI, Jaroslav studied international trade at the University of Economics in Prague, and mathematical modeling and computer science at the Faculty of Nuclear Science and Physical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague.
