Karel works as a Senior Economist for OG Research (OGR) - a company that offers solutions in macroeconomic modeling and forecasting. Previously he had worked as a Senior Analyst for the Czech National Bank.

Before coming to CERGE-EI, Karel studied for the Master's degree in Mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague and obtained PhD in Economics degree from the Masaryk University.
