Anton Marcinčin

Anton Marcinčin

Anton Marcinčin is Adviser to the Minister of Finance of the Slovak Republic, Bratislava. Before taking that position, he served as a Member of Parliament in the National Council of the Slovak Republic, having been elected in 2010 as a member of the Christian Democratic Movement party. He served on the Committee on Finance and Budget. Before entering politics, he worked a MESA10 and the Slovak Foreign Policy Association, and then served as World Bank country economist for Slovakia and Slovenia. He was admitted to CERGE-EI's first cohort in 1991 and undertook extended research stays in Amsterdam at the Tinbergen Institute and the CEP at the London School of Economics. He defended his PhD dissertation at the Charles University Faculty of Social Sciences in 1998.
