Post-doctoral/research-fellow to develop technology of optical fiber preform preparation

Institute of Photonics and Electronics of the Czech Academy of Sciences opens post-doctoral/research-fellow position to develop technology of optical fiber preform preparation within the research team Fiber Lasers and Nonlinear Optics. The research will be focused on silica glass (MCVD) and soft glass (melting) preform preparation. The applicants should have a deep interest in developing novel optical fibers and proving their successful operation in fiber device demonstrations.

Requirements:

• PhD degree (equivalent) in the field of glass science
• Experience with MCVD and sof-glass melting.
• Knowledge of English - intermediate level corresponding to the FCE or better.
