- A multi-disciplinary product of Thomson Reuters Co. which gives access to information sources called Web of Science (WoS) and Journal Citation Reports (JCR). It contains information about articles, authors, citation frequencies and publishing data. It monitors about 7,500 major periodicals predominantly of Anglo-American origin.
- In WoS, you can search, among other things, for authors’ citation frequency, the Hirsch Index. JRC allows to determine the Impact Factor.

- Entry: http://www.scopus.com
- A bibliographic and citation database created by the Elsevier Co. It searches the Scopus database and the web sources including patents and conference proceedings. It contains more than 18,000 reviewed journals from more than 5,000 publishers, of which 1,200 are freely accessible (Open Access) journals, 400 business publications, and 300 book editions. Scopus can be searched for the Hirsch Index.
