The project "Centre for Competitiveness in Biomedical Technologies" was implemented with the help of financial support from the European Social Fund under the JPD3 Programme

The project aimed to increase competitiveness in the capital city of Prague in the field of biomedical technology by promoting the development of their conditions of technology transfer, promote and encourage awareness of the general public and professionals from the business community on the progress of research in the field of regenerative medicine, to ensure the development of special skills of laboratory staff and management skills interested in the issue of establishment of spinoff companies.
 
Project activities to achieve goals:
• Knowledge management courses (40 courses)
• professional biomedical oriented lectures, workshops, promotional events (about 10 events)
• Special skills courses for laboratory technicians (about 20 courses)
• promotional and educational events (12-part radio series and DVD – prof. E. Syková, cell therapy and regenerative medicine, articles in newspapers, press conferences, open days)
• special publications (project summary texts, publications, medical textiles, medical equipment management, professional texts and powerpoint presentation)
• Establishing systems and content processing in e-learning
• Summer School "Tissue Engineering" (in 3 days 15 lectures and 2 excursions)
• conferences:
- The framework of technology transfer – 5th December 2007
- Information Technology Science and Innovation – 22nd January 2008
- Present and future of cell therapy in the CR – 24th April 2008
- Final two-day conference of the project – 11th and 12th June 2008
