Š. Jurajda Joined the Government’s R&D Council

We are pleased to announce that Štěpán Jurajda, tenured professor at CERGE-EI, has been appointed to the Research, Development and Innovation Council of the government of the Czech Republic. The Council is an expert and advisory body of the government in the fields of research, experimental development and innovation.
Prof. Jurajda is a Mellon Endowment Associate Professor with tenure at CERGE-EI since 2003 and a member of the Executive and Supervisory Committee of CERGE-EI since 2004. From 2009 to 2013 he served as Director of CERGE (Charles University) and the Economics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
In 2014, Prof. Jurajda defended his professorship at Charles University, where he also received a Commemorative medal, and was granted a Fernand Braudel Senior Fellowship at the European University Institute.
