Transport is the only sector of economy in Europe that does not succeed in reducing the emissions of greenhouse gases. The most suffering areas are those facing high concentrations of pollutants that have a direct negative impact on the health of the population. The future has to search for new solutions. This task is part of the efforts of national and European programs for support of renewable energy sources and transport ecologisation, of researchers, manufacturers as well as self-governments. Innovations, however, do not come out of the blue. The yearly meeting that takes place in Karlovy Vary helps to introduce such programs and projects into effective and factual life.
