Where Do We Go Out?

In its September survey, the Public Opinion Research Centre paid attention to restaurants, pubs and beer drinking. To start with, we asked all respondents which restaurant or pub they would visit if they had a chance of choosing. Almost one quarter of respondents answered that they did not go to any pubs or restaurants. However, the almost the same number of respondents said that best of all they liked popping into a pub, tavern or beer-house. Restaurants are also popular among Czech citizens, one fifth of the respondents named them as their favourite establishment. Less than a tenth of Czech citizens prefer going to pizzerias, Chinese restaurants or other restaurants offering foreign dishes (8 %) or coffee houses (7 %). Approximately, one twentieth of respondents most enjoy visiting a confectioner's (5 %) or a wine-bar (4 %).
