1. How much does the MA in Applied Economics program cost?

Full tuition for complete MA in Applied Economics program is 8500 euro. Students are also expected to cover the living expenses while studying in Prague.

2. Do you offer scholarships?

We offer tuition discounts of up to 20% of total tuition costs.

3. Can I gain a full scholarship?

We don't offer full scholarships. the MA in Applied Economics is a tuition-based program and all students pay for their education.

4. Do you offer discounted tuition for students from developing countries?

CERGE-EI pursues a non-discrimination policy and treats all students and applicants equally, regardless of their country of origin. MA in Applied Economics tuition doesn't depend on student's country of origin or citizenship.

5. Do I have to paythe full sum of tuition at once or may I pay in installments?

No, you don't have to pay the tuiton at once. MA in Applied Economics tuition is paid in 4 installments: (1) tuition deposit to accept the admissions offer, (2)-(4) beginning of each semester.

6. It's my last year at my home university and I will obtain my diploma in the summer. Can I apply before obtaining my diploma from my home university?

Yes, you can and in fact should apply before obtaining your diploma from your home university. Iin this case, instead of diploma and transcript, submit your current academic transcript - a list of courses with grades you have obtained so far. If you are admitted to the MA in Applied Economics program, your admission will be conditional on providing the official diploma by the beginning of the program.

7. Are there entrance exams?

No, you don't need to pass any entrance exams. The Admissions Committee issues admissions decision based on the application documents you provide.
