DNA Engine Opticon 2

The DNA Engine Opticon 2 Real-Time PCR Detection System has two-color detection capability and a sensitive optical system with no moving parts. Samples are illuminated by a fixed array of 96 blue-green LEDs and detected by two photomultiplier tubes (PMTs). The first PMT detects at 523–543 nm (suitable for detecting SYBR Green I and FAM-labeled probes), while the second detects at 540–700 nm (suitable for detecting many commonly used fluorophores, including HEX-, TET-, TAMRA-, and VIC dye-labeled probes).

BD LSRFortessa Cell Sorter

NanoDrop ND1000

The NanoDrop ND1000 is a UV/VIS (220-750 nm) spectrophotometer that can measure 1 µl samples with high accuracy and reproducibility. The spectrophotometer utilizes a patented sample retention technology that employs surface tension alone to hold the sample in place. This eliminates the need for cumbersome cuvettes and capillaries and allows for clean up within seconds. In addition, the high absorbance capability eliminates the need for most dilutions.

Axio Observer.A1 is a high-quality manual inverted light microscope for universal use. It is equipped with fluorescence illumination, AxioCam MRc 1.4 MPix kamera and AxioVision software with multichannel fluorescence acquisition module.

Micromass ZQ

The Waters Micromass ZQ™ represents a single quadrupole mass spectrometer, which offers characteristic performance and robustness for laboratories that require nominal mass resolution for mass confirmation applications. In our lab the machine can be either connected to the Waters Alliance HT HPLC system or operated separately.
