Romanies and Coexistence with Them in View of Czech Public – April 2015

April survey of CVVM focused on public attitude and public relationships between Czech population and Romany minority. Survey showed that more than four fifths of Czech citizens (83%) see living together of Romany and non-Romany population as bad in Czech Republic generally, and nearly two thirds (64%) evaluate the coexistence as bad in a place where they live. 55% of Czechs think that Romanies have worse possibilities to get a job than the majority population, 35% think that Romanies have worse conditions, if they are trying to assert themselves in public life, 29% see the possibilities of Romanies as worse also in case of qualification, 24% in case of education, and 16% in case of housing.
