Fifteen years after…

Where have we been coming during last fifteen years? A reminiscent view to the Czech history fifteen years after the beginning of the Czech Republic in 1918, after the putsch in 1948 and after the Velvet Revolution in 1989.

About Retrovirus in Prague

Ivan Málek

Only once in the history of the Czechoslovak Academy of Science have two brothers become academicians. They are Ivan and Prokop Málek. Ivan Málek, the older brother was among the most outstanding men of Czech science in the fifties and sixties.

The Institute for Contemporary History of the ASCR was the main organizer of the Czech segment of the international competition in history for young people.
