CERGE-EI Opens First Coursera Learning Hub
8 January, 2015
CERGE-EI is proud and excited to join the Coursera Learning Hub network. In February 2015, we will open R Programming in support of the online course from Johns Hopkins University offered on Coursera as part of a Data Science Specialization.
Coursera partners with leading universities and learning organizations around the world to offer free online courses for all. The Learning Hubs are a global network which provide space, infrastructure and learning support for the courses. Course completion rates in Hubs range from 35-100%, a drastic improvement to the typical completion rate of 10%.
The Coursera Learning Hub at CERGE-EI will offer a weekly discussion groups (taking place at Politických vězňů 7, Prague 1) which will run in parallel with the online course. Led by our PhD students, the discussion groups aim to create a challenging environment and provide additional resources and advice to students. The Learning Hub is open to students, young professionals and experts interested in the economic issues of today. Participants who successfully complete the online course will also receive a Certificate of Attendance from CERGE-EI.
