1. How much does the MA in Applied Economics program cost?

Full tuition for the complete MA in Applied Economics program is €8,500. Students are also expected to cover their living expenses while studying in Prague.

2. Do you offer scholarships?

Yes, we offer merit-based scholarships.

3. Can I gain a full scholarship?

We award merit-based scholarships based on students' GPA results from the Fall semester. The top 10% of students receive a full scholarship (100% tuition discount) for the Spring and Summer Semester. The next best 10% of the class receive a full scholarship (100% tuition discount) for the Summer Semester.

4. Do you offer discounted tuition for students from developing countries?

CERGE-EI pursues a non-discrimination policy and treats all students and applicants equally, regardless of their country of origin. The MA in Applied Economics tuition doesn't depend on a student's country of origin or citizenship.

5. Do I have to pay the full cost of tuition at once or may I pay in installments?

No, you don't have to pay the tuition at once. MA in Applied Economics tuition is paid in 4 installments: (1) a tuition deposit to accept the admissions offer, (2)-(4) at the beginning of each semester. If you are awarded a merit-based scholarship, you pay in only 2 or 3 installments, depending on the type of scholarship.

6. It's my last year at my home university and I will obtain my diploma in the summer. Can I apply before obtaining my diploma from my home university?

Yes you can, and in fact should, apply before obtaining your diploma from your home university. In this case, instead of a diploma and transcript, submit your current academic transcript - a list of courses with grades you have obtained so far. If you are admitted to the MA in Applied Economics program, your admission will be conditional on providing the official diploma by the beginning of the program.
