15th Global Development Network Regional Research Workshop at CERGE-EI

On 16-17 August 2015, CERGE-EI held its 15th annual workshop for grantholders in the Global Development Network (GDN)-financed Regional Research Competition. The GDN provides funds to support high-quality regional research on applied, policy-relevant topics.

Jan Švejnar Publishes Op-Ed in The Guardian newspaper on Billionaires and Economic Growth

The Guardian newspaper (UK) published an op-ed by Jan Švejnar in which he presents findings from recent research. He found that the myth of billionaires boosting the economy is untrue – particularly when they amassed their wealth via political connections.
