Jan Švejnar Publishes Op-Ed in The Guardian newspaper on Billionaires and Economic Growth

The Guardian newspaper (UK) published an op-ed by Jan Švejnar in which he presents findings from recent research. He found that the myth of billionaires boosting the economy is untrue – particularly when they amassed their wealth via political connections.

Jan Švejnar is a member of Executive and Supervisory Committee at CERGE-EI, head of CERGE-EI's analytical think tank IDEA and Director of the Center for Global Economic Governance at the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University.
