Dictionary of Czech Literature after 1945 Online

This dictionary contains more than a thousand entries on Czech writers and literary journals from 1945 to 2000. It is based on the Dictionary of Czech Writers, which came out in book form during the 1990s at the ASCR Institute for Czech Literature under Pavel Janoušek (in two volumes in 1995 and 1998) and from the Dictionary of Czech Literary Journals, Periodical Literary Collections and Almanacs (edited by Blahoslav Dokoupil, 2002). The current editorial team for the web-based version of the Dictionary reviews and updates all the entries, progressively makes additions to the index and in particular works on new entries on the most prominent publishing houses and other institutions and informal associations involved in Czech postwar literary life. This current project will be complete in 2013, but we are publishing the finished entries on an ongoing basis.
