Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences Awarded to Angus Deaton

The CERGE-EI community is delighted that The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has awarded The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel for 2015 to Angus Deaton (Princeton University) for his analysis of consumption, poverty, and welfare.

Students and Faculty Members Race for a Good Cause

On October 3, several CERGE-EI students and faculty members gathered on the outskirts of Prague to join a charity relay bike race and a relay run. Both races were in aid of Asistence, a non-profit organization which provides services for people in Prague living with physical and mental disabilities.

Award for Best Student Paper Goes to CERGE-EI Researcher

We are excited to announce that a paper authored by CERGE-EI PhD student and Junior Researcher, Ján Palguta, has won a prize for the Best Student Paper at the Slovak Economic Association Meeting which was held in Košice on October 2 and 3, 2015.
