The national cultural monument of Dolní oblast Vítkovice has been gradually transformed into a vivid zone according to the designs of Josef Pleskot. After the gas tank was reconstructed to become a multifunctional building, in 2012 an educational trail with a panoramic lift, a slope road and a movable membrane over the exterior auditorium was created on the blast furnace no. 1. Nowadays, a cylindrical glazed extension on the top of the frame construction of the blast furnace has been completed; acafé, exhibition space and a club can be found there. The original way of joining the extension with the frame construction, by hanging on the linkage system, has a significant economic and aesthetic effect.
