Library of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (ASL) is a public research institution whose purpose is to conduct scientific research in the area of scientific information and library science, to establish a research-oriented information infrastructure, and to provide library-based, informational, and reprographic services to the institutes of Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and other users active in research and science. CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY – Information about the opening hours at the end of the year

The library will be closed from 24th December 2015 to 3rd January 2016. The book return box will be available during workdays (28th to 31st December) from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The regular library operation will start again on Monday 4th January 2016.

The last opening day of the Reprography and Bookbinding Centre will be on Friday 18th December 2015, until 2 p.m. The regular operation will start again on Monday 4th January 2016 at 7 a.m.

The closure of the library

For operational reasons the library will be closed from 13.00 on Wednesday 14 October 2015. Loans can be returned to the book return box in the lobby (up to 20.00). Read more »

Changes in how library services are provided

Dear users, in connection with the changes in the provision of some services, the new version of the Library Regulations of the Library of AS CR, v. v. i., becomes effective on 1st September 2015.
What’s new:
– Speedier processing of requests
– Off-site loan period extended automatically
– Pay fees online
– Membership for remote access extended online
– Wireless Internet connection available for visitors

Information about summer opening hours at the library
