Ing. Václav Suchý, CSc.

Václav Suchy is managing specific activities of the Enterprise Europe Network Czech Republic that revolve around the assistance to national small and medium enterprises participating in EU Framework Programmes. Beside project consultancy and advisory, he also specializes in aspects of intellectual property rights (IPR), with special reference to innovative research and development environments. Since 2007 he has been a member of two EU expert panels dealing with best practices in IPR enforcement and service innovation in the EU. Václav is currently acting as the "European IPR Ambassador", being responsible for the promotion and dissemination of European IPR Helpdesk services and products among Czech innovative SMEs. 

Václav graduated Cum Laude from the Moscow Institute of Oil and Gas in 1985. His later academic training was with the CharlesUniversity,Prague (Ph.D., 1991), completed by post-doctoral stays at the University of Illinois, USA and the Basel University, Switzerland (1991-1993). Before he joined the Technology Centre ASCR in 2008, he served in a number of managerial and research positions in both business and academic environments.
