Asel Isakova
Kyrgystan, PhD 2009
Asel Isakova currently works as a Junior Economist at the Joint Vienna Institute (JVI), Vienna, Austria, having worked as an Economic Analyst at European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London for several years. Before being admitted to CERGE-EI in 2004, Asel earned her BA in International Economics from Kyrgyz-Slavic Russian University, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and also received MA in Development Projects Management from Pierre Mendès France University, Grenoble, France. She defended her PhD thesis in 2009, being the 100th person who earned PhD degree from CERGE-EI. Her dissertation is titled "Efficiency of Monetary Policy in the Economies of Central Asia".
