On behalf of CZELO (Czech Liaison Office for Research, Development and Innovation), CzechInvest (the Investment and Business Development Agency of the Czech Republic) and under the auspices of the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the European Union, we would like to invite you to the workshop “Czech is Nano”.   

Main aim of this event is to provide an overview of the nanotechnology sector in the Czech Republic with several case studies of successful companies with high international profile (Contipro, IQ Structures, Pardam) and to offer a networking platform to establish closer contacts between various parts of the nanotechnology field in the European Union. Apart from the introduction, the topics will cover the areas of nanomedicine, 3D nanoprinting, and nanostructures for energy storage or security measures.

We are pleased to announce that the opening speeches will be presented by Mr. Pavel Bělobrádek, Deputy Prime Minister of the Czech Republic for science, research and innovation, and Deputy Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to EU Mr. Jakub Dürr, with a keynote speech of Mr. Christos Tokamanis, Head of Unit Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials at DG for Research and Innovation. Other speakers will include representatives of Czech Nanotechnology Industries Association, Technology Centre of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the companies mentioned above. 

The event will take place at the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the European Union (15 Rue Caroly, Brussels) on October 15 from 10:00 till 13:00. All participants are kindly requested to register in advance by completing the registration form at http://geform.tc.cz/czechnano/ before October 12, 2015.
