Martin Srholec has been a Senior Researcher at the Economics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences since 2010, and Associate Professor at CIRCLE, Lund University, Sweden, since 2011. He earned his PhD degree in Economics (2003) from the University of Economics in Prague, the Czech Republic, and in Science, Technology, and Innovation Studies (2005) from the University of Oslo, Norway. From 2002 to 2010 he was based at the TIK Centre, University of Oslo, Norway. He has published in Industrial and Corporate Change, Journal of Economic Geography, Regional Studies, Research Policy, Review of World Economics, World Development and other journals.
