Abstract:
During charging and discharging of a Li-ion battery, Li-ions are forced to move to and from as quickly as possible. However, their pathways are frequently too narrow and folded with a number of barriers. How could the electrodes and electrolytes be friendlier for Li-ion traffic in all-solid Li-ion batteries (SLIB)? In the present short talk, the author describes the solid state synthetic processes of some SLIB-related nanoparticles, Li7La3Zr2O12 (LLZO), Li4Ti5O12 (LTO) and TiO2-x/C (TIC). Their electric and electrochemical properties will briefly be discussed with some preliminary results, in an attempt to improve SLIB.
