In the framework of lifelong learning, the Centre for Classical Studies at the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences, in cooperation with the Institute of Theatre Studies of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, Prague, advertises a run of lectures called Utopian Past: Returns to the Antiquity in 19th and 20th Century. The Seminar of Ancient and Early Theatre:
A working committee of ancient traditions in Czech culture established a Seminar of Ancient and Early Theatre and since 2009 takes part in teaching a full-time Master programme Theatre Studies at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, Prague. Doctoral Studies Programme
The Centre for Classical Studies at the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences cooperates with the Institute of Greek and Latin Studies of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, Prague, on full-time and part-time doctoral studies programme Latin Medieval and Neo-Latin Studies at the of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, Prague. The postgraduate students occupy themselves with the history of Latin literature of the era that began with the downfall of the classical civilisation and continued during the emergence of coherent medieval civilisation in Western, Southern and Middle Europe following the renewal of ancient cultural heritage, the evolution of the latter during the High Middle Ages, its changes during the Renaissance and baroque humanism and its transformation in a part of cultural life and science of modern European nations. The study focuses on Latin literary texts of these eras from the viewpoint of linguistics, history of literature and history of arts. Theoretical and practical problems of editing texts from these epochs are studied as well. The content of studies respects the fact that Medieval Latin and Neo-Latin literature is connected with the ancient civilisation, and it pays due attention to the fundamental influence of Christianity on the evolution of Latin literature and to role of the latter in the history of religious life of medieval and early modern Europe.

Seminar of Latin Lexicography:
In cooperation with the Institute of Greek and Roman Studies of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, Prague, a seminar of Latin lexicography provides an environment where the members of the Department of Medieval Lexicography share their experiences with the students under the aegis of Dr. Zuzana Silagiová.
