Dynamic recirculation equilibrium stills
- A set of all-glass tuned recirculation equilibrium stills (based on the generic Dvořák-Boublík still) developed in the laboratory,
which enable the accurate measurements of vapour–liquid equilibria (VLE) including systems with chemical reaction at low and normal pressures.
- Świętosławski-type ebulliometers, allowing accurate measurements of vapour pressures (up to 400 oC in a quartz version of the instrument).
- A set of microebulliometers designed and developed during last five years for experiments with limited amounts of material.
- VLE-602 Experimental Station [Fischer (DE)] equipped with an all-glass recirculation still, allowing semi-automated operation and measurements up to 4 bar.
Pressure measurement
- Digital pressure controller/calibrator, model 7250i [Ruska Instrument Corp. (USA)]. Accuracy ±0.003 % of full scale value.
- Precision pressure gauge [Texas Instrument (USA)]. Accuracy 0.001 kPa.
- Indirect pressure measurement via boiling point of water.
- Dead-weight pressure gauge, model 2455 [Ruska Instrument Corp. (USA)], absolute measurement and calibration up to 280.00±0.02 bar.
Temperature measurement
- Several digital thermometers F250 [ASL (UK)] with resolution 0.001 K, calibrated against a Leed&Northrup Pt–resistance thermometer traceable to the NBS/NIST (USA)
certificate; however, the basic resistance is measured regularly with the Mueller bridge at the triple point of water. The absolute uncertainty of temperature
measurement (on ITS-90 scale) is estimated as ±0.02 K while relative accuracy is ±0.001 K.
- Set of precise thermostats with temperature control ±0.001 K, which operate between –30 and 250 oC.
Composition determination and chemical analysis
- Gas chromatograph HP6850 with TCD and with Chemstation software.
- Gas chromatograph Agilent Technologies 7890A Series.
- ThermoScientific Helios γ UV/Vis spectrophotometer.
- Schott TitroLine Karl-Fischer titrator.
- Densitometers (A. Paar, Austria), DMA 58 - accuracy ±0.00001 g.cm–3; DSA5000, DMA-HP (pressure range up to 70 MPa).
- Refractometers: Bellingham & Stanley (UK) – accuracy ±0.00001, Abbe – accuracy ±0.0001.
Fluid phase equilibrium measurements
- LLE equilibrium cells (studies of two- and three-phase systems).
- Cloud point method.
- Volumetric method.
- Thar Technologies Super Phase Monitor SPM20, temperature range 25oC–60oC, pressure range up to 40 MPa.
- Static apparatus for measurement of VLE up to 10 MPa.
Thermal properties measurements
- Setaram μDSC III evo microcalorimeter, batch cells, CP liquid cell.
