Dynamic recirculation equilibrium stills

Pressure measurement

  • Digital pressure controller/calibrator, model 7250i [Ruska Instrument Corp. (USA)]. Accuracy ±0.003 % of full scale value.
  • Precision pressure gauge [Texas Instrument (USA)]. Accuracy 0.001 kPa.
  • Indirect pressure measurement via boiling point of water.
  • Dead-weight pressure gauge, model 2455 [Ruska Instrument Corp. (USA)], absolute measurement and calibration up to 280.00±0.02 bar.

Temperature measurement

  • Several digital thermometers F250 [ASL (UK)] with resolution 0.001 K, calibrated against a Leed&Northrup Pt–resistance thermometer traceable to the NBS/NIST (USA) certificate; however, the basic resistance is measured regularly with the Mueller bridge at the triple point of water. The absolute uncertainty of temperature measurement (on ITS-90 scale) is estimated as ±0.02 K while relative accuracy is ±0.001 K.
  • Set of precise thermostats with temperature control ±0.001 K, which operate between –30 and 250 oC.

Composition determination and chemical analysis

  • Gas chromatograph HP6850 with TCD and with Chemstation software.
  • Gas chromatograph Agilent Technologies 7890A Series.
  • ThermoScientific Helios γ UV/Vis spectrophotometer.

Fluid phase equilibrium measurements

  • LLE equilibrium cells (studies of two- and three-phase systems).
