The Department of Low-dimensional Systems headed by Martin Kalbáč has been selected as the representative of chemistry for the Czech Academy of Sciences

The institutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences (CAS) were evaluated for the period 2010–2014 by 13 international commissions in 13 different research areas. Each commission was asked to select one team that performs excellent science on an attractive research topic.
Martin Kalbáč’s team was the selected one out of a total of 40 teams for the area of chemistry.

Martin Kalbáč will represent chemistry in a conference organized by the Scientific Council of the CAS. In this conference 13 out of 400 evaluated teams of the CAS will give an overview on the most interesting science conducted in 2010 - 2014.

The conference is scheduled for March 24, 2016 and will take place in the conference room No.206 of the CAS building in Národní street, Prague 1.
